Sub-Harness for Aftermarket Fuel Pumps

New OEM fuel pumps are no longer available from Honda for the CX500 and CX650 Turbos.

Fortunately, good aftermarket pumps are available:

* Denso #951-3003
* Spectra Premium #SP1186
* Carter #SP-70199

I designed this high quality sub-harness to make installation of these aftermarket pumps a snap.

Truly “plug and play.” The correct wire colors of the cable and the integrated 2-terminal parallel connector reduces the possibility of polarity mistakes.

Simply attach the brown wire (red terminal cover) to the positive (+) lug on the pump and the green wire (black terminal cover) to the negative (-) lug on the pump. Then, simply plug the connector into the Honda harness and you’re set. Fun fact: these rotary fuel pumps on will run quite well when 12V polarity is reversed. Unfortunately, no fuel will be pumped. 😀 Make sure you make the connections correctly.

Don’t resort to splicing, soldering, wire nuts, Scotch-Locks or other savage butchery when you can connect your pump correctly without any alteration to your wiring harness!
